“Lean into the Lord. Let Him be your strength and your hope. He is worthy and He is enough.”

- Nikki Speer, Founder of Redefined Courage

Hello friends! My name is Nikki, and I am thrilled to share our faith-based business with you today. I love how God is always working in, through and around us. God has blessed us with Redefined Courage Inc., and I am honored to bring Him glory in all that we do, especially when it comes to building this business, which will touch the lives of so many women and families. Lucy has been so generous in asking me to share our faith-based business, a business that God has so graciously allowed us to be a part of.

What is the mission behind Redefined Courage?

Our mission is to touch the lives of every person who has been affected by breast cancer, and help them realize that “beauty is soul deep.”

What is your key bible verse, either business or personal, and why?

“You should clothe yourselves instead with the beauty that comes from within, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is so precious to God.” 1 Peter 3:4

When Gerrod (my husband and VP of Marketing) and I prayed about our key verse we were led to this scripture as it clearly talks about soul deep beauty – the beauty that will leave a legacy.

What prompted you to create a faith-based business?

It was a prompting from the Lord to start this after I saw a need arise while shopping with my mom in October 2015. She could not find anything to fit her “new” cancer-altered body type and I promised her I would design clothing for her to wear one day. Mom is unable to wear it now that she is with Jesus, but there are thousands of woman that will be blessed by our clothing line.

Where do you find your inspiration?

We find our inspiration from people who press on in the midst of the hard. Going through trials but not allowing their circumstances to determine their joy.

How do you bring God’s Word into your products?

All of our garments are named for the fruits of the Spirit and each order is prayed over personally.

What is the biggest lesson God has taught you through your business?

Trust and patience! We say we trust in the Lord with all of our hearts and we wait on the Lord for His timing. God’s timing is always perfect, yet as humans we try and make things happen in our time.

What encouragement can you share with our readers?

Lean into the Lord. Let Him be your strength and your hope. He is worthy and He is enough.

Each day we play a game with our kids called, “I spy God.” It has taught me to look for God-waiting and watching for Him to show up and show out! It also helps us to see all of the little miracles that God performs each day, not just focus on the big, life-altering miracles.

Any additional information you’d like to add?

Our t-shirts and bracelets were designed to develop brand awareness and to raise funds to be able to manufacture our redefined clothing line in Spring 2017.

“Well done, my good and faithful servant. You have been
faithful in handling this small amount, so now I will give you many more responsibilities. Let’s celebrate together!”
