Hey there! My name is Anna, and I am so excited to talk about faith-based business with you today! Finding ways to bring kingdom-building purpose and value to our work is one of the pleasures and roles we claim as believers, no matter our vocation. Lucy has been so kind as to ask me to tell you about the faith-based brand with which the Lord has blessed me!
What is the mission behind Sel Rosé?
Our mission is to inspire women to preserve peace and flavor the world with love and hope just like the "salt of the earth."
What is your key bible verse, either business or personal, and why?
Matthew 5:13 is Sel Rosé's key verse! Sel Rosé means "pink salt" and I chose the name to inspire women to be that salt and light that Matthew 5:13 talks about.
What prompted you to create a faith-based business?
I began selling jewelry three years ago, but my brand at the time had no message or defined purpose other than selling jewelry. I was listening to an online class in which Hayley Morgan of The Tiny Twig and the Influence Network was speaking about aligning your work with God's goals for your life. That was January of 2015, and it was the point at which I began to acknowledge God as the CEO of my company. After that, I rebranded and began sharing the Gospel with my customers. It has been a huge blessing and a wonderful learning experience!
Where do you find your inspiration?
I am inspired by the people who are in my life, the other creative business owners I have been fortunate enough to meet and/or be mentored by, my family & friends, and so many books! My pieces are often inspired by French style, fashion, nature, exotic places, and of
course, scripture.
How do you bring God’s Word into your products?
A number of the individual pieces have verses attached to them, but each collection is based around a passage of scripture, so multiple pieces often carry the same meaning.
What is the biggest lesson God has taught you through your business?
To be patient, to be content with the work itself, and to be brave. Those are lessons I am still learning, actually! He has taught me a lot about myself through running this business; lessons I don't think I would have learned otherwise.
What encouragement can you share with our readers?
You are called to preserve peace and to flavor life with love and hope. There's no greater calling, and it's one you can fulfill no matter where you are in life. You are enough for the job because of how perfectly He has equipped you! Don't ever let yourself doubt that truth!
Any additional information you’d like to add?
The biggest project I am currently working on (beyond making more jewelry) is finding the right way to support the fight against sex trafficking. It is a cause that has been close to my heart for a while, and it would add even further purpose to the work I am already doing.
